Whitewater Rafting Tips

If you are planning to have one of the best whitewater rafting trips this season with your family or friends, there are a few things that you should have in mind to make sure that your experience is safe, fun and memorable for everyone.

First, identify what level of rafting will the group enjoy and will be capable of handling. Rivers are usually labeled according to six classifications indicating the level of difficulty of the rapids and navigation.

Next, check the water levels of the rivers you are planning to go to and take note of the weather conditions during the time of your trip. The volume of water flowing in a river is measured by cubic feet per second, a figure that not only indicates how much water is in the river but also how fast it is flowing. The larger the number, the bigger the waves and holes will be.
