Gabapentin: A Middle Aged Woman’s Best Friend
Do the Gabapentin standards in drugs differ from those that are used as adjunct therapy for partial seizures and those that reduce hot flashes for women undergoing menopause? My mom is in that menopausal age and we just found out that gabapentin and other GABA analogs are as effective as estrogen in reducing hot flashes. We have always had a supply of gabapentin at home because I have a brother who has epilepsy. Does this mean that they can share the medication? I know it will be best to consult a physician, but I just want to ask how much people actually know about this.
